Yes, the gray-label (silver) post carbon filter can be used as a replacement for the blue-label filter in place of the WP531105 system. Both filters are compatible and interchangeable. The primary difference is in the contaminants they are designed to reduce. While both filters provide final-stage water polishing to improve taste and odor, the gray-label (silver) filter also reduces Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), including certain herbicides, pesticides, and other organic chemicals, providing an additional level of filtration.
